Vancouver Foodster Announces His Inaugural Vancouver Soup Festival

These cold, dark, wet wintery days need something to keep you warm, like soup.  I’m pleased to hear that Vancouver Foodster thinks the same way and has just launched his Vancouver Soup Festival that will run for 3 weeks in January.  Below is his announcement.  Go out there and enjoy a nice hot bowl of soup! I’m partial to pozole soup so you may see me at Las Tortas shortly.

Welcome to the inaugural Vancouver Soup Festival which runs for 3 weeks from January 10 – 31st.

How does this work? The restaurants will be featuring different soups in each of the 3 weeks in the festival, you are invited to visit the restaurants, order the soups and then VOTE for your People’s Choice favourites below from each week’s offerings. We will have 3 sets of winners with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place each week over the 3 week period.

Share your experiences: Tweet and Instagram share your photos throughout the festival, our twitter and instagram address is @vanfoodster and the hashtag is #SoupFestYVRplease include this hashtag in all your social share mentions.

Voting criteria – some things to help you judge your favourite soup creations – keep these things in mind: originality, creativity, uniqueness, traditional, non-traditional, price, value and most importantly taste.
