Going to Vancouver Foodster’s Tasting Plates around town is always fun. I am getting to try food from new restaurants to me, and that I would want to visit in the future. Here is the latest Tasting Plates, coming up on Oct 6 in Kitsilano. Details from Vancouver Foodster are below. Get your tickets soon before they sell out.
FYI, I’ve eaten at the Guanaco Food Truck and they make really tasty Salvadorian food.
Prepare to experience some of the newest and tastiest offerings on Sunday October 6 from 4 pm to 9 pm as Vancouver Foodster, Vancouver’s essential online food and drink guide, presents Tasting Plates West 4th in the Kitsilano neighborhood.This event is the highlight of Feast of 4th, as part of their 13 day restaurants festival in their neighborhood.
Participating restaurants will offer tasting plates of their food to the guests, thereby showcasing their restaurant and promoting their food and chefs.
The event is a roving tour that brings guests to the participating restaurants, cafes, deli & food trucks, throughout the event and they will by moped, bike, driving, walking, roller skates, skateboarding or carpooling. around the 4th Avenue neighborhood from Burrard to Vine..
- Vegetarian options will be available at many of the participating restaurants.
- Bring along a friend or two, your significant other, your family or come solo.
- A food networking dinner event connecting Vancouver’s vibrant food community
Registration: In the Registration Tent on the SE corner of 4th Ave & Yew -this is where guests will show us their printed or digital tickets and will pick up their Tasting Plates Map Cards.

Guanaco food truck specializing in a Salvadorian staple food, “Pupusas” which is a thick handmade corn tortilla filled with your choice of: cooked pork, chicken, and season beans, mixture of fresh cheeses and seasoned fresh vegetables, Pupusas are an excellent choice for meat lovers and vegetarians alike. Guanaco’s food is fresh and sourced locally.

Jackson’s Meats & Deli is unique from its competition in that it is the oldest Meat Market in Vancouver. Jackson’s boasts six generations of butchers starting in Maidenhead, England in 1856, and has been a part of Vancouver’s heritage since 1911.

How To Purchase Tickets
Tickets are available for purchase online at https://tastingplateswest4th.eventbrite.com/
Advance Tickets: $40 per person. $120 for a 4 pak of tickets or $162 for a 6 pak of tickets (get a group of your friends/family together and save by purchasing a 4 pak or a 6 pak). Regular Tickets $50 per person after October 1, 2013.
Note: Eventbrite fee and gst is extra on all tickets purchased online.
Ticket price includes tasting plates at each of the participating restaurants/eateries throughout the event along with a swag gift bag. (Beverages are included at some restaurants which will be noted, you are welcome to purchase wine, beer, cocktails or mocktails at each of the participating restaurants).
